ETR TEMPERATURE CONTROLS

1/16 DIN ETR® Temperature Controls
48mm Square - On/Off or Proportional - Plug-in Construction - Digital or Analog Set Point - LED Deviation or Digital Indication - Universal Power Input on ETR-905 - 3 Year Warranty
Analog function, manual adjusting and non-indicating controls are also offered by OGDEN. These simply designed and easy-to-use controls suit many application requirements. 1/16 DIN ETR Controls in this group have a 48 x 48mm front panel size and a short 3-3/8" in-panel depth. The necessary mounting space is substantially reduced compared to conventionally sized controls.

ETR-805 1/8 DIN Temperature Controls
Digital Set Point - Digital Indication - Plug-in Construction - Proportional with Manual Reset - Only 2-1/2" In-panel Depth - Universal Power Input - 3 Year Warranty
The ETR-805 features digital set point adjustment and digital indication of the process temperature. Because of the 1/8 DIN size and very short in-panel length, minimal mounting space is required. The ETR-805 is readily available with a wide selection of temperature ranges and other features.

ETR-404 and ETR-406 1/4 DIN Temperature Controls
Digital or Analog Set Point - Digital Indication - Plug-in Construction - Proportional with Manual Reset - Only 2" In-panel Depth - 5/8" LED Process Indication - Universal Power Input - 3 Year Warranty
The ETR-404 and ETR-406 feature digital indication of the actual process temperature. The four digit, 5/8" high display is easy to read. With the pushwheel or analog adjustment, the set point and the process temperature are simultaneously visible. Plug-in construction provides quick replacement of control modules for servicing or maintenance requirements. Only 2" in-panel depth is required. Instruction Manual #15 includes wiring and setup information.

ETR-401 and ETR-402 1/4 DIN Temperature Controls
Analog Set Point - Deviation Meter or Non-indicating - Plug-in Construction - Proportional - Only 2" In-panel Depth - 3 Year Warranty
The ETR-402 features deviation meter indication, while the ETR-401 is non-indicating. These rugged, reliable temperature controls offer precise process temperature control at a very economical cost. Only 2" panel depth is required. Instruction Manual #15 is included with each item.

Panel Mount ETR-4 Temperature Control
Analog Set Point - Non - Indicating - On-Off or Proportional - Can be Specified with Latching Relay - Local or Remote Set Point Adjustment - Fully Enclosed or Open Board
The ETR-4 is rugged, reliable and very economical for precise process control or latching relay type. The fully enclosed model can be either mounted directly to the surface or DIN rail mounted. Instruction Manual #21 is included with each item.

ETR-3 FM® Approved Limit Control
Panel Mount or DIN Rail Mount - On-Off Limit Control with Latching Relay - Manual Reset - FM® Approved - Touch-Safe Terminals
The ETR-3 is an FM approved safety limit control. Protection of expensive heaters and sensitive materials from damaging over temperature conditions is provided by the ETR-3. The DIN Rail Mounting feature allows quick installation without drilling or extra hardware. Exceptional performance will be provided by the ETR-3 in the most demanding situations.

ETR-9040 1/16 DIN Microprocessor Based Limit Control
48mm x 48mm - Universal Input - Universal Power Supply - Remote or Local Reset - Selectable Control Range - Secondary Output - Event Input - Digital Communications - UL, CSA, and FM Approved
The ETR-9040 Limit Control protects equipment, materials and personnel from over-temperature process conditions. A true back-up system can be put in place when this control is used with a dedicated sensor and contactor. Universal Input allows the ETR-9040 to be used in many temperature, pressure, flow and other control applications. An optional port provides additional functions such as a programmable alarm, RS-485 communications, DC power supply, limit annunciator, or event input. The 18 bit A/D converter and 5 per second sample rate reacts quickly to protect fast changing processes. The large display can be set up to view the Process Value (PV), Set Point Value (SV), or SAFE. A main output Form C relay can be configured as a High Limit, Low Limit or High and Low Limit. The ETR-9040 should be protecting your process because it's easy to use, versatile and extremely accurate.

ETR-4100, ETR-8100, and ETR-9100 Series - Auto-Tune PID Temperature Controller

Easy-to-Use Operator Interface - Fuzzy Logic PID Heat & Cool Control - Fast A-D Sampling Rate (5 times/sec.) - Universal Input PT100, Themocouple with High Accuracy 18-bit A-D - Analog Output (Linear Current or voltage) Uses High Accuracy 15-bit D-A - RS-485 or RS-232 Interface - Programming Port - Manual Control & Auto-Tune Functions - Six Alarm Mode Selections - Lockout Protection - Bumpless Transfer During Failure Mode - Soft-Start Ramp and Dwell Timer - Bright LED Display Stabilized with Digital Filter - SEL Function Allows User to Rearrange Menu - UL Recognized, CSA, IEC1010-1
The ETR Fuzzy Logic plus PID microprocessor-based controller series incorporates two bright, easy-to-read, 4-digit LED displays, indicating process value and set point value. The Fuzzy Logic technology enables a process to reach a predetermined set-point in the shortest possible time, with minimum overshoot during powerup or external load disturbance.

ETR-9100 is a 1/16 DIN size panel mount controller. ETR-8100 is a 1/8 DIN size panel mount controller, and ETR-4100 is a 1/4 DIN size panel mount controller. These units are powered by universal 90-250 VDC/VAC supply. Up to three outputs are available for control and alarm. The second output may be used as cooling control, or an alarm. Output selections are relay, triac, 5 V logic output, linear current, or linear voltage to drive an external device. There are six types of alarms, plus a dwell timer may be configured for the third output.

The units provide universal input selection of RTD’s and thermocouple types J, K, T, E, B, R, S, N, L without modification of the unit. The input signal is digitized by using an 18-bit A to D converter. Its fast sampling rate enables the unit to control fast processes.

Digital communications RS-485 or RS-232 are available as an additional option. These options allow the units to be integrated with a supervisory control system and software.

A programming port is available for automatic configuration, calibration and testing without the need to access the keys on front panel.

By using proprietary Fuzzy Logic PID auto tuning technology, temperature overshoot and undershoot is minimized. Figure 1 control diagram is a comparison of a typical system response with and without Fuzzy technology.
